WEB PORTAL PREVIEW
Weather Station // v7.0 "Midnight Glass" Dashboard
Humidity 52% · Rain 1h 0"
PORTAL FEATURES
LIVE DATA
The dashboard polls the station's /data JSON endpoint every 10 seconds: indoor and outdoor readings, wind with gusts, rainfall, sun and moon times.
BAROMETER TREND
The BMP280's pressure is sampled on the station every 20 minutes into a 4-hour window; the dashboard shows the reading in inHg with a rising / steady / falling arrow and the rate of change.
NWS WEATHER ALERTS
The page fetches active watches and warnings for the station's location straight from api.weather.gov in the browser — no API key, and the ESP32 never has to make an HTTPS connection. Local threshold alerts remain as a fallback.
AIR QUALITY
OpenWeatherMap's air pollution index (1–5) with PM2.5 and ozone readings, fetched by the station on the same free API key.
DEW POINT + FEELS LIKE
Dew point computed in the browser from outdoor temperature and humidity (Magnus formula) — the honest mugginess number for a Gulf Coast summer.
TEMPERATURE HISTORY
An 8-hour sparkline drawn from the station's /history endpoint (24 samples at the 20-minute fetch cadence), with hover readout, low / now / high.
HOURLY + 5-DAY FORECAST
A horizontal hourly strip (temperature, conditions, rain chance) and a five-day outlook with animated SVG weather icons, bucketed by real calendar days.
RADAR + SKY TRACKER
Embedded NWS radar loop for the local site, and a separate Sky Tracker page for planet and star positions computed from the station's configured location.
DARK / LIGHT THEME
The v7.0 "midnight glass" dark theme with a warm amber accent, and a light mode. Choice saved to localStorage.
JSON API
Every reading is available raw: /data, /history, /forecast, /hourly, /location — build your own client, or feed a home automation system.
